Go Min-si is the actress who makes a scene that should play out predictably look like something new. Mo Wan-il, director of The Frog, said that once her acting was added, even predictable scenes often turned into something fresh, and her senior Kim Hye-soo sent her a message: “Min-si, I’m so happy your era seems to have come” (Xports News). On October 30 she returns in Netflix’s Dead-End Job as an investigator who digs into the accidents at a hellish workplace. Reading Kim Hye-soo’s line, I felt exactly the same. Go Min-si’s era has come, and I am truly happy about it.

October 30, 2026: Yeon-ju in Dead-End Job

Dead-End Job is an eight-episode horror series in which Hyuk-jun (Lee Jae-wook), a young man chased by debt, enters a hellish workplace through Geomi Staffing, an agency that promises 50 times the minimum hourly wage. Go plays Yeon-ju, an accident investigator with the workers’ compensation agency. She stands on the opposite side from Hyuk-jun, chasing the full story of what happened at that workplace (Wikitree). It is directed by Kim Da-min, screenwriter of A Killer Paradox, and co-stars Kim Min-ha and Lee Hee-joon (Netflix).

  • From romantic lead to investigator. In her previous drama, Tastefully Yours, she was the romantic lead Mo Yeon-ju. Now she plays someone who digs up the accidents other people have buried.
  • Back to Netflix genre shows. She met Netflix’s global audience through Sweet Home and The Frog, and this time she steps into the middle of a horror story.
  • The counterweight to Lee Jae-wook. Hyuk-jun holding on inside the workplace and Yeon-ju tearing it open from outside are the story’s two axes.

Kim Da-min wrote the twisted comedy of A Killer Paradox before taking the director’s chair here.

Where to watch: Dead-End Job premieres worldwide on Netflix on October 30, 2026, at 5 p.m. KST (4 a.m. ET) — Netflix (US and Korea, checked October 28, 2026).

Her last Netflix hit: Seong-a in The Frog

In Netflix’s The Frog, released August 23, 2024, she played Seong-a, the uninvited guest who turns up at a remote pension run by Kim Yun-seok’s character. After release it reached No. 4 on Netflix’s global non-English series chart and the Top 10 in 16 countries, including No. 1 in Korea (Xports News). The role earned her a nomination for Best Actress (TV) at the 2025 Baeksang Arts Awards (Wikipedia).

Right before Dead-End Job, she was the bright romantic lead of Tastefully Yours.

Filmography: from a three-minute film to Geomi Staffing

  • 2016, a debut she made herself. Born in Daejeon in 1995, her first dream was directing. She wrote, directed and starred in a three-minute film, Parallel Novel (Dailian), and while handing out her profile she appeared on the YouTube channel 72 Seconds TV, which led to an agency contract (Vogue Korea).
  • 2017–2019, small roles without a break. She made her network debut in SBS’s My Sassy Girl (Sidae Ilbo), then went through OCN’s Meloholic, tvN’s Live, Myung-hee in the film The Witch: Part 1. The Subversion, Gul-mi in Netflix’s Love Alarm and Lee Hyun-ji in SBS’s Secret Boutique, winning Best New Actress at the 2019 SBS Drama Awards (Wikipedia).

Her network debut, My Sassy Girl, put a modern classic into Joseon-era costume.

Meloholic was a thriller-romance fantasy on OCN.

Live has no official trailer left online, so here is tvN’s official five-minute highlight.

In The Witch, she stood beside Kim Da-mi as her best friend Myung-hee. This is the US distributor’s English trailer.

Love Alarm was her first Netflix original.

And Secret Boutique brought the New Actress award.

  • 2020, Eun-yoo in Sweet Home. In Netflix’s Sweet Home she played Lee Eun-yoo, a sharp-edged girl holding out in a world overrun by monsters, winning Best Supporting Actress (Korea) at the Asian Academy Creative Awards. Eun-yoo carried on all the way through Season 3 (Wikipedia).
  • 2021, Myung-hee in Youth of May. In KBS2’s Youth of May she played Kim Myung-hee, a nurse in Gwangju in May 1980, opposite Lee Do-hyun, and her acting was widely recognized (Dailian). She won an Excellence Award and the Best Couple Award at the KBS Drama Awards (Wikipedia).
  • 2023, Ok-bun in Smugglers. In Ryoo Seung-wan’s Smugglers, she played Go Ok-bun, the youngest of the haenyeo divers. On November 24, accepting Best New Actress at the Blue Dragon Film Awards, she could not get her words out for a while. Kim Hye-soo, who was hosting the ceremony that night, told her, “It’s okay to take your time and say whatever comes to mind.” After catching her breath, Go said, “Hye-soo and Jung-ah were like the air to me” (Wikitree). That year she also won Best Supporting Actress at the Buil Film Awards and the “Face of Asia” award at Busan’s Asia Star Awards (Wikipedia).
  • 2024–2025, a forest, a kitchen and a romance. After The Frog, she guarded the kitchen as the youngest intern on tvN’s variety show Jinny’s Kitchen 2, then took the romantic lead Mo Yeon-ju in Tastefully Yours.

Where to watch: The Frog, Sweet Home, Love Alarm and Tastefully Yours are on Netflix in the US and Korea. Youth of May streams on Viki and Kocowa in the US (as of October 28, 2026).

The rookie who could not finish her sentence on the Blue Dragon stage now, three years later, plays someone who pries loose what others want unsaid. As a fan who has watched those three years, I hope this time she gets applause so loud that she can’t finish her sentence again.
